Pasadena City College program is accepting students to a wait list

The Pasadena City College commuting program is full.  We are accepting applications for a wait list at this location.  Students who are interested in a commuting program near Pasadena should consider applying to either the Mount San Antonio College or CSU Fullerton commuting programs.

JHU Homewood commuting program is full

The Johns Hopkins Homewood Campus commuting program is full.  We are no longer accepting applications for commuting students at this location.  Students who are interested in a commuting program in Baltimore should apply to the Loyola University commuting program.

Application for Summer 2019 Opening Dec. 15

The application for Engineering Innovation in summer 2019 will be available on the website on December 15.

New Record Set at CSU Fullerton! 95kg (209 lbs)!

At the CSU Fullerton Spaghetti Bridge Competition on July 20th, a new Engineering Innovation record was set!  A bridge weighing 250 grams and measuring 25 cm tall was able to support 95 kg (209 lbs) before failing!

Spaghetti Bridge Competitions

The last week of Engineering Innovation, teams of three to four students build bridges from spaghetti and epoxy.

On the final day of the course, the teams compete to see which bridge will carry the heaviest load.  Below is information about the competition at each EI site.

Students in Homewood sections A, B, G, and J will break bridges in Bloomberg 272 starting at 10:00 am EST on Friday, July 20, 2018.  You may view a livestream of the event here.

Students in Homewood sections C, D, E, F, H, and I will break bridges in Hodson 110 starting at 10:00 am EST on Friday, July 20, 2018.  You may view a livestream of the event here.

Homewood residential and Pasadena commuter locations accepting to waitlist

The following two locations are now full and all subsequent applications will be considered for the waitlist:

  • Johns Hopkins University – Homewood campus – Residential program
  • Pasadena City College – Commuter program

 

All other locations are still accepting applications.
