Bethesda Magazine/Bethesda Beat feature highlighting Engineering Innovation at the JHU Montgomery County Campus!
The last week of Engineering Innovation, teams of three to four students build bridges from spaghetti and epoxy.
On the final day of the course, the teams compete to see which bridge will carry the heaviest load. Below is information about the competition at each EI site.
Students in Homewood sections A, B, G, and J will break bridges in Bloomberg 272 starting at 10:00 am EST on Friday, July 20, 2018. You may view a livestream of the event here.

The Carroll County (MD) Benevolent & Protective Order of the Elks offers need- and merit-based grants for residents of Carroll County (MD) to attend Engineering Innovation. Applicants may be students of public or private schools in Carroll County or another school district.

The first application deadline for Engineering Innovation is February 15, 2018. Complete applications received by this deadline will be reviewed and decisions will be communicated by March 1, 2018. For an application to be considered complete, it must be fully submitted and the Engineering Innovation office must have received student transcripts, the teacher recommendation, and financial assistance documents (if student is requesting assistance) by 5pm on February 15, 2018.
