Application Fee: $75 due when the online application is submitted

Tuition (all sites): $2,700

Commuter Lunch fee for the Johns Hopkins Baltimore campus:  $220   Commuting students will have lunch at the Fresh Food Cafe (FFC) on the JHU campus for the duration of the course. The total cost to attend the commuter program at JHU Baltimore campus is $2,920 (Tuition plus Lunch Fee).

Residential Program Fee for the Johns Hopkins Baltimore campus:  $4,000    (includes room and board plus residential activity fees). Residential students will also receive $100 of J-Cash on their student ID (J-Card) to spend around campus for laundry, printing, and more. J-Cash is also accepted at stores and restaurants close to campus. For more information about J-Cash and the J-Card, visit the J-Card Website. The total cost to attend the residential program at JHU is $6,700 (Tuition plus Residential Program Fee).

Commuter Lunch fee for Hood College:  $220   Commuting students will have lunch at the Hood College cafeteria for the duration of the course. The total cost to attend the commuter program at Hood College is $2,920 (Tuition plus Lunch Fee).

Residential Program Fee for Hood College: $4,000  (includes room and board plus residential activity fees). The total cost to attend the residential program at Hood College is $6,700 (tuition plus Residential Program Fee).

International Students: $200 Additional processing fee upon enrollment.

Once you have been accepted into the program you will have 10 days to make a decision and submit your payment and enrollment forms.

Financial Assistance

Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, limited need-based financial assistance is available for partial and full scholarships for commuting students.  We are not able to offer scholarships for the residential programs.  The application for financial assistance is included as an option within the online application.  Supporting documents, typically the parents’ W2s and 1040s, must be submitted either online during the application, emailed to ei@jhu.edu, or mailed to our office at the mailing address given below.

Refunds for students withdrawing from the course

Residential Program Fees, Commuter Lunch Fees, and International Fees are non-refundable.

To withdraw from the program Engineering Innovation, our office must receive a written statement of withdrawal from the student’s parent or guardian.

Withdrawal notices received earlier than three weeks prior to the start of class will receive a 90% tuition cost reduction.

Withdrawal notices received within three weeks prior to the class and until the Friday of the first week of the course will receive a 50% tuition cost reduction.

No refunds will be issued after the end of the first week of class.

No refund will be granted to students suspended or dismissed for disciplinary reasons.  The Engineering Innovation program reserves the right to dismiss a student whose academic standing or general conduct is considered unsatisfactory.
