In-Person Instructional Positions

EEI Instructors should be comfortable with a wide range of engineering topics and be able to relate the curriculum to high school students. We will hire for summer 2024 starting in January or February; email [email protected] if you have any questions.

EEI TFs understand, appreciate, and apply an instructional style that emphasizes the process of problem-solving rather than memorizing material. The object is to engage students by getting them to think and participate rather than being lectured to. Each EEI class has a broad range of 16-24 students with diverse backgrounds and Instructors must be prepared to accommodate a multitude of learning styles. Finally, the Teaching Fellow must be able to engage, encourage and excite the students.

Biomedical Engineering Teaching Assistants must have completed their first year of an engineering degree and demonstrate knowledge of the content covered in BMEI.  Teaching Assistants works with the BMEI Instructor to respond to student questions and monitor and respond to student questions posed in the online discussion board and via email. Graders ensure that BMEI students receive their graded work promptly.
